Emi loves teaching people of all ages and abilities, and has worked with students ages 3 through retiree. Active in several music organizations, she was voted Member of the Year by her colleagues at Chicago Area Music Teachers Association (1999) and Salt Creek Music Teachers Association (2008, 2022), and a Music Teachers National Association Foundation Fellow (2014). Emi’s passion for teaching is evident, as some of her students travel from out of state to study with her, and most stay active in her studio for many years.
